About Me
Hi, I’m Matt Selby. My wife, Anna, and I have been married since 2011. We have five boys: David, Luke, Thomas, Daniel, and Michael. We live in Dubuque, Iowa where I serve as the Director of Adult and Marriage Formation for the Archdiocese of Dubuque. Previously, I worked as the Adult Faith Formation Director at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion, IA.
I have a B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies, with a Minor in Ancient and Classical Languages, from the University of Northwestern: St. Paul, and a M.A. in Theology with an emphasis in Church History from the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul). I grew up as an Evangelical Protestant and joined the Catholic Church in 2011 after much study and prayerful discernment.
I have a love and passion for Scripture and have experience helping others understand the Bible through leading many parish Bible studies, writing about Scripture, and teaching courses as an adjunct in the religion department at a Catholic university.
My love of Scripture and the Catholic faith has led me to create this website with my reflections on the Sunday Mass readings and recommended Scripture study resources.
